THINGS TO DO

Take a walk from Heliotopos to Fira. Enjoy the famous caldera walk along the cobblestones to the city. Directly from the hotel, you step out onto the cobbled pathway. This downhill walk takes you from Imerovigli into Firostefani and finally you arrive in the capital of Santorini, Fira. Remember your camera!

Take a walk after eating our delicious breakfast and arrive in time to visit the Museum of Prehistoric Thira, and then head off to the beach for a relaxing swim. Alternatively take a walk at dusk, while watching the sunset over the volcano. You will arrive in Fira in perfect time for a cocktail and an early dinner at one of Fira's many local tavernas or gourmet restaurants.

Santorini is rich in history; two great civilizations have left their mark on Santorini, dating back to the Bronze Age.

Archaeological Sites:

• Prehistoric Thira: Akrotiri. The Akrotiri archaeological site is temporarily closed to the public due to work in progress at the new environmental shelter which covers the site.
• Ancient Thira: Mesa Vouno

The present day crescent shape of the island is a consequence of the activity of the volcano in pre-historic times. Visit the volcano by boat; and discover its unique history.

Santorini has magnificent beaches. The shining pebbles, the unique land formations, the black, white and red sands, all make up its unforgettable landscapes. The sea around the island is deep blue and crystal clear. Most of the beaches are well organized, offering a choice of lounge chairs, umbrellas and various water sports.

Take a boat tour around the island's most interesting locations such as the volcano and the hot springs and the neighbouring islets. There are private or public trips available.
